Summary: Garak and Bashir's friendship hits the rocks after Garak discovers that
Bashir is genetically enhanced. Occurs shortly after "Dr. Bashir, I Presume".

					SPY VS. SPY

     I hope he won't be angry. I never lied to him. I simply didn't correct him when he
asked all the wrong questions. Garak intrigues, hints, plays games. I don't. I told
him so, but he insisted on his illusions.

     I let sleeping dogs sleep. Garak teases them. That's where we differ.

     He's late, today. I eat quickly, scanning the crowd. Finally, I see him approaching
our table.

     "Garak! Where have you been?"

    He doesn't answer, only glares at me,  passing by so close I can smell Ziyal on
his skin. Then, he's gone. Our last lunch together is over.
